All of the venues participating in the Artwalk programme their own shows and events. If you are an artist or performer interested in finding a venue to collaborate with please get in touch directly with the venue you have in mind. Alternatively, we may be able to match artists with venues. Please get in touch if you would like help with finding a suitable venue.

We suggest you pick out the venues you feel appropriate to your work and visit them first, if you can, to see what they are like. Most venues in Wakefield are very interested in hearing from potential collaborators. We recommend sending them a few examples of your work and details about yourself.

Many of the venues who take part in the Artwalk operate on a voluntary basis and so you will need to be available to set up and clear up following your event. You will also need to transport your own work and equipment. We recommend artists are there on the evening of the Artwalk to meet visitors.

We recommend all artists have their own Public Liability insurance. It is usually the responsibility of the artist to make sure their work is insured while it is being exhibited. Public Liability and Exhibition Insurance can be obtained by subscribing to AN’s Artists + AIR membership scheme
